Very well equipped 51 foot sailboat leaving Florida January 15th for extended cruising in the Caribbean. Plan to spend a month in the Bahamas, a month in the Virgin Islands and two months in the Windward and Leeward Islands. I am looking for one or two people to join me and assist in running the boat. Blue water experience preferred but not required. Would require a minimum of one month commitment but would prefer persons who are available for the full four months. I will pay all boat expenses and provision the boat. You must arrange and pay for your transportation to and from the boat and your expenses on land.

Used a similar tool many years ago - it was a very useful , especially when repairing a genoa on my sailing yacht where the clew's grommet/cringle had pulled out - this one looks similar. Seems expensive but I guess if it is strongly built it and because it might have an easy life, it should last the life of your boat. Over time it could turn out to save a lot of journeys to the sailmaker.

This allows them to operate in shallow waters, and if needed "dry out"�become beached as the tide falls. The hull shape (or twin-keel layout) allows the boat to sit upright when there is no water. Such boats are designed to undertake short journeys, rarely lasting more than 2 or 3 days (hence their name). Of course, in coastal areas long trips may be undertaken in a series of short hops.

Most of today's modern inflatable boats easily match conventional runabouts for speed and handling, while some of the more sophisticated rigid-hulled inflatables are clearly superior to ordinary fiberglass or aluminum boats.
